Welvista
Welvista is a healthcare nonprofit that collaborates with partners, donors, and volunteers to bridge gaps in healthcare access and reduce the long-term costs that result from untreated conditions. Its best-known services are the Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP), a no-cost pharmacy for qualifying patients, and Smiles for a Lifetime, which offers pediatric dental care on-site in rural elementary schools.
the challenge
Welvista has partnered with Beam & Hinge since 2017, and in 2023 two significant factors led to the creation of their second B&H website: a significant expansion in MAP services and supporting technology, and an organizational rebrand that visually married the organization and its flagship programs.
the solution
- To support the broader adoption of the MAP program across clinics and hospitals, we redesigned the on-site formulary to be mobile-and-tablet first, so that clinicians could efficiently scan the list while meeting with patients and more quickly connect patients to available medication.
- To better connect potential patients to MAP-participating doctors in their communities, we built a Find a Doctor Near You feature that allows patients to search by zip code or county.
- And to build trust, we increased photos of the Welvista staff across the site – from the dentists to the pharmacy delivery team, we wanted potential patients to feel comfortable with the professionals who make the work possible.
Welvista is an incredible resources for South Carolinians, and we’ve been honored to help them expand participation in their pharmacy and pediatric dental programs.
