the challenge

The existing Plexus Health website didn’t capture the breadth of services offered, was confusing to potential patients seeking care , and failed to accurately portray the meaningful role Plexus Health plays through community outreach and partnerships.

As Plexus Health expanded its healthcare services, they needed a website that clearly reflected their mission and that made it easy for patients to access high-quality, affordable care.

the solution

• We partnered with Plexus Health to create a welcoming, mission-driven website that strengthens community connections and makes it easier for patients to access the care they need.
• We started by featuring their primary services in the main navigation, making it immediately clear that Plexus offers services beyond what may be expected of a rural clinic. As a trust-building tool, the information for each service area included photos of the healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
• The visual design of the site was kept simple and spacious to account for visitors who may not be heavy web users, and font sizes were slightly larger than usual in service to patients who may require such accommodation. We streamlined and simplified the process for making an appointment — there is now one page for this function, as opposed to various, slightly varying modules placed throughout the site in the past.
• To highlight the organization’s activity beyond the clinic walls, we added a section highlighting community outreach and developed a form that encourages local organizations to invite Plexus Health to community events.
