Palmetto Pride is South Carolina’s anti-litter organization, educating citizens on litter’s impact, supporting litter law enforcement, driving awareness of the issue, and facilitating litter pick-up efforts statewide.
the challenge
Palmetto Pride’s interests were both philosophical and practical. How could they inspire South Carolinians to care more about their natural environment, and how could they make it very simple to get involved?
the solution
- Visually, we highlighted the beauty of the state — not the trash that sometimes litters it. We also gave the site a vibrant but soothing color palette.
- We reorganized the site structure to house all programs together.
- We simplified the organization’s myriad paper forms into just a few flexible web-based forms that serve all pickup programs.
Generous use of natural landscapes help set the tone of Palmetto Pride’s mission before you even read the first word.
