Hopeful Horizons is a children’s advocacy, domestic violence, and rape crisis center that works to create safer communities by changing the culture of violence and offering a path to healing.
the challenge
Hopeful Horizons emerged from the joining of two unique social service agencies, and the resulting website wasn’t intuitive for visitors, many of whom visit the site in times of distress or danger.
the solution
- We reorganized the site according to the issues being addressed, making it easier for visitors to find the services to suit their needs.
- We folded in an external website used solely for a fundraising event, encouraging those visitors to learn more about the organization.
- The organization’s services are divided into distinct sections for domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, making it easy to find relevant information. Each services page includes empathetic and action-oriented content, addressing survivors’ needs and encouraging engagement.
Our partnership with Hopeful Horizons allows us to contribute in a meaningful way to their mission. We used purposeful design to facilitate immediate client service and to amplify their long-term efforts to create community change.
